Our Hospital Craft Pack Mission
In August of this year one of our Little Crafters, Bella age 3, suddenly had to become super brave when her mummy was diagnosed with Leukaemia. I was so sad to hear of Siobhan's diagnosis and the fact that she has been in hospital ever since. Together, myself and Siobhan have come up with an idea that will help her, Bella and hopefully many others in a similar situation.
Bella loves The Little Craft Club but hasn't been able to attend since her mummy's diagnosis. Since this is something that she really misses, Siobhan reached out to ask if she could still pay Bella's Craft Club fee, but for me to send Bella the supplies for the next session so that they could have their own Craft Club in hospital together when Bella visits.
This gave us an idea!
We are going to create craft packs for other children in Bella's situation. Containing crayons, colouring sheets, scissors, glue, paper, stickers and lots more crafty supplies, the packs will hopefully bring a bit of normality and fun to what is a very scary time.
Every time you purchase a craft pack, one will be made up and sent to the Blue Skies Hospitals Fund team based at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. They will then pass the packs onto parents enduring long hospital stays so that they have something to do when their child visits.
We can't do all the good the world needs, but the world needs all the good that we can do...
